Before establishing her consultancy, Jaime L. Howard served as the Director of Development for facilities and capital projects for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In this role, Jaime’s primary responsibilities were planning and overseeing the $100 million capital campaign for CHOP’s new ambulatory care center and fundraising activities for additional renovation and construction projects throughout the CHOP network. Additionally, Jaime worked closely with donors and institutional partners to build relationships with the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine and on behalf of CHOP-wide programs and initiatives.
Jaime joined CHOP from Temple University, where she was Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations from 2004 through 2010. She oversaw the university’s comprehensive corporate and foundation relations strategic and financial plans to support fundraising efforts exceeding $10 million annually. Prior to joining Temple, Jaime served as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving at Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania for three years.
Jaime’s early career included lobbying local, state, and federal elected officials and agencies as an advocate for the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay, which was followed by her tenure with United States Senator Rick Santorum where she served as the Director of Community and Economic Development in his Southeastern Pennsylvania Office.
In addition, Jaime often speaks at AFP – Greater Philadelphia Chapter programs and events and joined the 2015 faculty of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute as an educator for its non-profit seminars and programs. Jaime is also an adjunct faculty member at Villanova University, serving as a co-instructor of the Principles of Fundraising certificate program. She presents and is a panelist for conferences and programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to discuss topics such as grant seeking, development case studies, volunteer and community engagement programs, philanthropy trends, and fundraising and strategic planning.
Jaime received her B.A. in Political Science from La Salle University and holds a Master’s Degree in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
A resident of Philadelphia, Jaime is an active member of the community through various civic and professional affiliations. Jaime is a Trustee for The Scholarship Foundation of the Union League of Philadelphia and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Delaware County SPCA.
